Newbury trash disposal fee too high

To the editor:

Newbury will be charging $1 per small kitchen-size trash bag for all residents starting Jan. 1 at the transfer station. If you are up in arms about this (the cost per household will be huge in comparison to the dump sticker fee!).

A meeting is scheduled for Thursday at 9 a.m. at Newbury Town Hall. Please put whatever you’re doing on hold and protest this outrage of fees that we will have to pull out of already empty pockets. Maybe it was scheduled at this hour because most people go to work? I am going to work late just to be there.

Please, please, let’s voice our opinions if you are not in agreement with paying$1 a bag to get rid of your garbage.
