To the editor:
The Amesbury Chamber of Commerce and Industrial Foundation hosted several events over the holiday season and would like to take a few moments to thank everyone who assisted in making them possible.
In the midst of a snowing winter wonderland, Amesbury held its Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting on Dec. 1. The parade was a true success and we would like to congratulate Adele Faso and Candace Ellis for all their hard work in putting the parade together.
The Chamber would like to offer enormous gratitude to Woody Cammett of W.C. Cammett Engineering for his amazing financial donation to cover the significant cost associated with the placement of the tree in Market Square. Thank you to Healey, Deshaies, Gagliardi and Woelfel for donating funds to supply additional lights and to Jamie Clark of the Amesbury Fire Department for hanging them. A very special thank-you to Tom, Ronda and David Hodge of 21 Monroe St. for donating this year’s beautiful tree! Thank you to Matt and Ellie Sherrill for hanging all the kissing balls around the downtown area. Also, thank you to Amesbury DPW for all their help this holiday season.
On Dec. 5, the Chamber held its 15th Annual Restaurant and Shop Showcase. We had a truly successful event and a wonderful evening was had by all who attended. This year we transitioned locations, invited the shops and salons to join in the event and were amazed at the extraordinary attendance.
It takes a lot of work to make an event like this successful and I would like to thank everyone involved.
Thank you to our generous sponsors: Coffey Design + Build Co of Newburyport and Boston; The Provident Bank
Thank you to Greenery Designs for donating the beautiful poinsettias; to General Linen for providing all the linens and to Shaheen Bros., Inc. for donating the paper products.

Thank you to Rick Bartley, Tom Pendergast and the rest of the team at Bartley Machine for allowing the event to be held at Bartley Machine, as well as taking time out of their busy schedules to accommodate all of our setup and clean-up needs.
A special thank-you to MaryCarol Fowler, Kevin Jacques, Meredith Robinson and Candace MacLean and the rest of their team at Amesbury Sports Park for all their manual labor, the bars, the tables, the chairs, and their love. Thank you to all of our volunteers who helped out at the event.
