Kudos to Brian Page of Merrimac and his letter, “You can’t teach common sense.” It’s astonishing to me that so many people are still upset about the governor’s executive order not to drive after 4 p.m. during a blizzard.
If only one life was saved from “not being able to drive” because that option was temporarily taken away from us, then wasn’t it worth it? And if that’s the case, then why is anyone complaining?
As far as Governor Patrick violating our civil liberties by taking away our “right” to drive”: I’ve been driving for the last 26 years and have always been under the impression that driving in this state or any other is a privilege, not a right. Has something changed?
