To the editor:
I would like to congratulate the administrators, staff, students and parents of the Cashman Elementary School. For the second year they were selected as a Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Commendation School. It is based on student achievement on last spring’s MCAS test. It recognizes the hard work of everyone.
Though Cashman received the award, I would like to say, as I always have, you get out of school what you put into it. We in Amesbury are so lucky to have dedicated administrators and teachers to instruct learning in many forms. Many students have gone on to college and have successful careers because of the education received in our schools. I am so proud of the Cashman Elementary School for winning this award.
Thank you again for bringing this honor to Amesbury.
