Patrick wrong on in-state tuition for illegal aliens

To the editor:

“Say It Isn’t So”: This was the song that came on my car radio after I heard Governor Patrick wants to give in-state tuition to illegal aliens. It’s not bad enough that illegal aliens are taking slots in Massachusetts’ junior, state colleges and universities from legal citizens and residents, but now the governor wants to give them in-state tuition too.

I can only say this. If the governor gets his way, I know there will be citizens in the Bay State who will have someone in their families — children, nephews, nieces or grandchildren — who will not be accepted to a Massachusetts higher education institute because it was given to a non-citizen, whom the governor wants to give more rights to than a citizen. And if this happens to any of you who voted straight Democrat on Nov. 6, you’ll get exactly what you deserve. And who will lose? The family member who had their heart set on one of those colleges.

The recipients of this discrimination will be those in the middle class. You know, the ones that Elizabeth Warren said throughout her campaign are getting hammered and is going to Washington to fight for. See how much help she’ll be if Massachusetts residents who get bumped by illegal aliens have to go to a more expensive college. Can you say, “more loans”? I look forward to the message board.
