Luekens will lead schools in right direction

To the editor:

As a proud alumnus of NHS, a father of two young children and a local Realtor, I am directly impacted by the quality of our public school system. I believe the race for School Committee is an important one and that Mike Luekens is the ideal choice.

As our school buildings become modernized, we need people in leadership positions who can partner with school administration to make smart decisions about the future our schools. Mike possesses directly relevant experience and has a vested interest in making sure our school system moves forward with the right foot into this new era.

A solid school system is the foundation for every great community. Newburyport citizens have clearly demonstrated that we value education. I hope each Newburyport voter will consider supporting Mike — a dad who wants to give the city the gift of his background, experience and passion for education as a whole.

On Nov. 5, my vote will be for Mike Luekens and I hope yours will be too.
