Thanks for helping beautify Powow Villa

Newburyport Daily News

The Amesbury Senior Center, the Amesbury Housing Authority and the AHA Supportive Housing Program with Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley Inc. are very pleased to announce the completion of Phase 1 of a beautification project at Powow Villa.

We appreciate the Essex County Sheriff’s department supporting us with the beautification program and the eight men from the community service program who helped with all the digging, pulling, raking and planting.

We are very thankful to the Amesbury community for their generous donations of plants. We are also extremely grateful to Pettengill Farms of Salisbury for their donation of time, knowledge and plants. The residents were very pleased with the project and they were very thankful for the community effort. Many of the residents of Powow were part of the beautification committee.

Beautification efforts will continue next spring. The gardens now rest with dreams of rebirth in the spring.
