Lanphear has my vote for at-large councilor

To the editor:

A friend recently asked me if there is a candidate who really stands out in the upcoming election and why. My answer was Lyndi Lanphear.

Lyndi and her husband have been active participants in this community since moving here almost three decades ago, raising their family, donating time and resources to our local charities, schools, businesses and hospital organizations. Lyndi has a strong business and accounting background, having worked from Wall Street to now Cherry Street (Newburyport), and has experience in balancing a budget.

The qualities that impress me about Lyndi, are that she is a dedicated, hard-working, honest and a straight-shooting person who has consistently had a calling to serve others. She recently told me that the issues she is most passionate about are retaining our personal property rights and keeping an open waterfront.

Because Lyndi cares about our wonderful Newburyport, she has my vote.
