A very kind-hearted gesture

To the editor:

The note the son of a Navy Seabee left on my car in the Market Basket parking lot in Seabrook on Sunday, June 1, was a wonderful and very sweet gesture. You exemplify the qualities of a good-hearted soul. The thoughtful note and the $20 to take our soldier out to lunch was something I will remember forever.

While it is extremely hard when our loved ones are in the service, it is also heartwarming when others recognize the sacrifice our men and women in uniform make.

We will most definitely take our son out to lunch the next time he is home on leave and I will think of you and your family and be thankful for kind-hearted humans like yourself.

Thank you and may God bless you and your family.

From a very grateful, proud parent of a United States soldier.
