Charter school fundraiser reaches its goal

To the editor:

On behalf of the students in our Upper Elementary Class at River Valley Charter School and Partners in Development, we would like to thank everyone who came out to support our recent fundraising event at Flatbread Pizza in Amesbury. As a result of the generosity of Flatbread and its customers, we were able to raise enough money to sponsor a Guatemalan child in need of cleft palate surgery.

In addition, we would like to thank the following local businesses for their generous support of our fundraising efforts: Latitudes Gym, Dr. Sue Doyle, Eclipx Hair Salon, Phat Cats Bistro, the Morning Buzz Cafe, the Black Cow, Brown Sugar by the Sea, Michael’s Harborside, the Starboard Galley and the Plum Island Grille.

The students in our classroom are proud to support this worthwhile project and we are grateful that your gifts have made it possible.
