To the editor:
A recent editorial expressed concern about violent rhetoric in politics about whether John Tierney said “stomp” or “stop.” What so puts me off in this subject area is the Republican “Young Guns” super pac from whom Tisei gets literally millions of dollars of support.
This reeks to me of threating, bullying attempts to intimidate. Is this some kind of reflection of party family values with too much testosterone? Naming your organization for a cowboy serial murderer is a little off-putting to me. It sounds more like a gang name. Did Paul Ryan and his buddies all get a scary tattoo?
How Gabby Giffords gets into this, I’m not sure. My guess is Ms. Giffords, along with anyone touched by the recent plethora of mass shootings, does not find this to be an endearing or inspiring “reach across the aisle” attitude.
