Capitalists needed to restore American Dream

Remember not so long ago when America had the best steel mills in the world, it wasn’t long ago. Then the government came along with rules regulations and mandates and destroyed our steel industries along with the help of the unions and their industry killing demands.

Today, President Obama wants to rebuild and repair the nation’s bridges; so now we will import most of the steel necessary because U.S. Steel is just a fragment of what it once was and could never supply the needs for our rebuilding. President Obama says “these jobs can’t be shipped overseas;” no Mr. President, just the product needed for the building, “the steel.”

Once we had a robust ship building industry, now we are just barely able to build our Navy and the vessels it needs and that is mostly with imported steel.

The shoe mills are gone, the clothing manufacturers are gone basically what were the backbone industries of our manufacturing structure have all been demolished, not replaced, just wiped away from our landscape. Along with this disaster, went the millions of good paying middle income jobs now the cause for “income inequality.”

Along with government destruction of our industrial base came trade agreements not in our favor, globalization, new technologies, robotics, and the rise of Brazil, India, China and other nations all waging economic warfare for goods, service and profits.

Today, our government is mandating massive federal expansion and an even more massive debt as President Obama, from his bully pulpit claims “the debt does not matter,” never acknowledging that at some point the checkbook will read “account overdrawn”.

Today we have 47 job programs that have failed and Washington wants another program.

Today we have 92 anti-poverty programs costing us $800 billion a year supporting 100 million Americans with aid and the sad fact is they are still poor and they still don’t have a job.
