First Art Exposition a resounding success

To the editor:

On June 28 and 29, Amesbury held its first annual Art Exposition during Amesbury Days. The magnificent and creative artwork and crafts displayed by 39 talented artists included oil, water and acrylic paintings; knitting; quilts; cross stitching; self-created models; art poetry; wood sculptures; photography and crystals. The exposition was so successful plans are already under way for a bigger and better show in 2014.

The exposition would not have been possible without the relentless efforts of many. We would like to extend a special thank-you to Jon Mooers and the staff of Amesbury DPW, Police and Fire Departments for their constant presence and assistance.

Hope to see everyone again next year.
