Picture of suspect was offensive

To the editor:

Sorry ... but today I’m upset with yesterday’s issue (July 18) of the Daily News!

The front page story of note was all about our local merchants pulling their copies of Idiot Rolling Stone’s current magazine off their shelves.

Thinking of the great “moxie” of these people boycotting this issue, and that at least a few of our citizens have some common sense, I continued my daily ritual of reading the paper — cover to cover.

Further on into my reading I come across a picture of one of the maniacs who perpetrated the Boston Marathon bombing.

These scum-of-the-earth should not be given one iota of attention by anyone, especially the media of hometown USA. And, please, do not use the standard guise of the First Amendment, the public’s right-to-know or journalistic license.

This is one local American who takes great offense that you chose to publish that picture.
