The Benghazi witch hunt

To the editor:

The Republicans think that Hillary Clinton will run for president in 2016 and they want to blacken her reputation with a failure on her part in the Benghazi tragedy and supposed cover-ups by the government with all kinds of secret conspiracy theories.

The president clearly stated on the second day after the attack that terrorists were responsible and they would hunt them down and bring them to justice. Under President Bush many of our embassy compounds were attacked with a substantial loss of life, but we didn’t hear much about it or why they weren’t better protected or all this talk about secret cover-ups.

The Republican witch hunt is on and will continue; in the meantime, those hypocrites have voted to slash over $300 million of funds to provide protection for our embassy compounds in dangerous regions. I think their never-ending attacks against our current government are harming our country and people. The two parties need to come together and come up with some solutions that benefit all.
