---- — To the editor:
On Saturday, June 15, Helen and Lisa Nadeau hosted a golf tournament fundraiser at Apple Hill in East Kingston. We, the Mass Chicks, will be walking in our eighth, 60-mile, three-day, Susan G. Komen breast cancer walk in Twin Cities this August. We would like to take this opportunity to especially thank each and every golfer who participated in the tournament.
With the same gratitude, we wish to thank the following businesses for their generous donations: Apple Hill Golf Course, Dr.’s Jim and Maris DiTolla, cm&b, Healey, Deshaises, Gagliardi & Worfel, SPS New England, AGP Helium, Laurie Knapp, Interstate Electric, CRM, Newburyport Bank, American Gas Products, Burdick Plumbing and Heating, VFW, Wojicki Development Corp., Stone Ridge Properties Foundation, E.T. & L. Corp., Harvey Construction Corporation, Milestone Engineering & Construction, The Dodge Co. Inc., Port Paint N Paper, Vermette’s, The Barking Dog, Amesbury Industrial Supply, Zemanian Jewelers, Gary Folsom Promotional Products, Amesbury Furniture Outlet and Cider Hill Farm.
Lastly, we give special thanks to David Touhey, our brother-in-law/uncle; without him, this golf tournament would not be possible. To our family and friends for their continued support and for taking time out of their busy lives to help make this annual event such a huge success. In these fast-paced times and hurting economy, it is heartwarming to see so many willing to give of themselves to help in such a worthy cause.
The Susan G. Komen walk is very important to the two of us and our family. We believe that with our support and the support for thousands of other walkers, one day there will be a cure for breast cancer.
We thank you again for your support and encouragement because “Everyone Deserves A Lifetime.”
