Family grateful to participants, donors of Miles for Mike Relay

Newburyport Daily News

---- — To the editor:

I would like to take this time to express my gratitude to everyone who took part in the Miles for Mike Relay on April 6. We cannot express how overcome our family was when first told about the benefit for my husband and Amesbury coach Mike Farmer.

Coaching has been such an important part of his life for the last 20 years and to see the love that he has for all of the kids he has coached over the years come back to him was amazing. We were so touched with all of the generosity and love from the running community, the town of Amesbury and surrounding communities who gave so much. Again thank you to all who participated and donated.

A special thanks to AHS Boosters, Ernie Bissaillion, Don Hennigar, Leary’s Spirits, CP Lumber, Latitudes Sports Club, Hodgies Ice Cream, Super Cuts, John Coulp-Runners Mitt Printing, Greater Boston Running Co., Yankee Runner, Fitness Together, Super Shag Dance Studios, NHS Cross Country, New Balance, Saucony, Poland Springs, Flatbread Pizza, Kathy Kelleher Illustrations, Taylor Tagliente Watercolors, Phat Cats Bistro, Ale House, DJ Greg Folsom, and Travis Landreth Scholarship Fund.

Thank you so much.
