Newburyport Daily News
---- — To the editor:
Our Top 10 program was started 12 years ago to honor the “Top 10” seniors of the graduating class. Each student selects a teacher who made a difference in some way with his/her education. Some gave advice, others encouraged them to do their best, which contributed to their becoming one of the top 10 students in their class.
I would like to thank all those who contributed to our Top 10 Dinner financially but also, more importantly, for making a difference within our community. Without the help of Amesbury Police Association, Amesbury Youth Funding, Coca-Cola, Donald W. Beaulieu Insurance Agency, Hamond Hospitality Corporation, Jostens, Loral Press, Earl G. Morrill Electrical Contractor, Inc., New England Chocolate Company, Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank, Tom’s Team Sales, Vermette’s Supermarket, Mr. Harry Lucier and Mount Vernon Group, this event would not be possible.
I would also like to thank Antoinetta, owner of Ristorante Molise, once again for agreeing to host our Top 10 Dinner. We enjoy the hospitality and the way she always makes us feel welcome.
Residents also make a difference in this community! On behalf of our students, parents and teachers, thank you for your support.
N. Roy Hamond, Principal
Amesbury High School
