To the editor:
The last week or so has showed the huge bias in the media when it comes to reporting on political corruption. When the story of the huge traffic jam in New Jersey caused by the closing of a bridge by some political hacks of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie as political payback, for some local pols who didn’t play the way some of Gov. Chris Christie’s hacks wanted them to play, the news media has been non-stop at trying to find any lead possible that could lead up to the governor.
This last week was the story of the armed BLM officers (Bureau of Land Management) confiscating cattle from the Clive Bundy ranch that were grazing on public land that was promised by the federal government to be allowed to do so for 140 years and the standoff between the BLM and the supporters of the Bundy ranch, including the stun-gunning of Clive Bundy’s son.
After the BLM was being confronted by armed supporters of the Clive Bundy ranch, the BLM backed down and even returned the confiscated cattle. Now Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has got involved, saying that this isn’t the end of the situation.
During the standoff, there was a rumor going around that the Senate majority’s leader’s son is involved in a deal representing the Chinese government to develop the land for a solar farm. Why hasn’t the media investigated the possibility of the Senate majority leader getting involved in a land squabble to help out his son?
Even if this were just a rumor, you’d think that the media would try to clear his name, but the majority of the media has been silent.
