YWCA luncheon raises $45,000 for programs

To the editor:

On Wednesday, April 9, the YWCA Greater Newburyport had a sold-out 5th annual Engaging Communities Luncheon that focused on Promoting Dignity for All. Guest speaker Liz Walker captivated the crowd with her talk on grace — a word she uses to describe dignity and living to help others. The event netted over $45,000 for the programs and services of our organization, whose mission is to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
