Thanks for making holiday dinner so special

To the editor:

Thank you all for making this Lions Club Thanksgiving Day a great success. We were able to bring the true spirit of a family Thanksgiving to all those who wanted to share this special day with others.

With a special thanks to Paula from the Carry Out Cafe for organizing all the prep work the day before, to Ester from the Inn Street Barber shop who took over the kitchen duties on Thanksgiving Day, to the Newburyport Gardeners who furnished the fresh flower centerpieces for all the tables, to General Linen for supplying the tablecloth settings.

Special thanks are also extended to Appliance Warehouse, Newburyport Elks, Provident Bank, Gail Gallant, Rita York, Knights of Columbus, Hibernians, Institution for Savings, Newburyport Five, Ipswich Bank, Newburyport Rotary Club, Lombardi Oil, Razor’s Edge, Cider Hill Farm, the Lacroix family and others for their donations at the dinner.

Thank you, Connie Salerno, for providing the music. It would be difficult for us to name all the volunteers. We owe you a special debt of gratitude. We would be amiss if we didn’t recognize the efforts of Lts. Jeff and Megan Brunelle of The Salvation Army who were always there to assist us in every way possible. Thank you.
