Court's decision an affirmation of God among us

To the editor:

I would like to offer an alternative view re: the Supreme Court decisions on gay marriage that Ron Johnson, pastor, expressed in his letter to the editor published on Monday, July 1. We learn through the teachings of Jesus and other spiritual masters that God is Love; God is the creator and living spirit that lives within us; and that spirit both transcends and connects us.

This spirit is greater than our corporal bodies; it is a spirit of Love and unity that is not limited by the physical body whether male or female. Where there is Love, there is God. The court’s decisions are not “a darkness that is destroying this country,” but the affirmation of God’s presence among us.
