Flier brought many into Amesbury church

To the editor:

My thanks go out to the advertising team at The Daily News for the service on the flier advertising our new worship launch and block party. Our attendance this week went up four-fold with several referencing the flier. Both events were fun and celebratory with fantastic upbeat music and many new connections being made between people.

Using a full contemporary band to lead Christian worship with new music has been catching on in many areas, but Rock Amesbury is the first church to bring it to Amesbury. The celebration poured out into the street both with coffee and snacks between the 9:30 a.m. contemporary and 11 a.m. traditional services and teens across the road outside the Amesbury Library were seen clapping and dancing to the music.

I hope all have a chance to experience Christian worship this vibrant and relevant at some time in their lives. We welcome all to come see for themselves what is newinamesbury.org.

The Rev. Jamie Arrison
