Help Brown School students support the troops

To the editor:

The students from G.W. Brown School will be participating in a special project called “Newburyport Supports the Troops.” We would like to honor local men and women who are currently overseas serving

in the military. The students will be participating in this wonderful community service project in honor of Memorial Day. To show thanks for their service, each class will be sending a care package to one of these praiseworthy servicemen and women.

We are currently asking community members for the names and addresses of servicemen and women serving overseas for our country. Do you have a relative, friend or neighbor that we could include in this

special project?

Please forward any contact information to Dianna Ouellette at the Brown School, by email at douellette@newburyport.k12.ma.us or by phone at 978-465-4435. We would like the information by May 10, if possible.

What better way for children to acknowledge Memorial Day than to thank a serviceman or woman, who

is serving their country.
