A plea for Thanksgiving donations

To the editor:

It is Thanksgiving in just a few days and this year the Salvation Army’s list of families in need is longer than ever. We are still collecting needed supplies. If you would like to donate, please bring all to the 40 Water Street, Newburyport, location Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. until Nov. 20.

We are accepting stuffing, gravy, canned, fresh or frozen vegetables, potatoes, sweet potatoes, pies, dinner rolls, juices or cider and, of course, turkeys.

Thank you to all who have given in the past and to all who are planning to give.
