Thanks for seniors' graduation night extravaganza

To the editor:

Each June for the past 19 years the Pentucket Parent Alliance has organized an all-night, substance-free, mystery extravaganza for Pentucket Regional High School’s graduating class. Students are bused to various locations throughout the night with surprises along the route.

When the Class of 2013 arrived at the school, they were checked in and had a group picture taken (which was given out to the graduates early the next morning). They were then bused to Haley’s Ice Cream in Newburyport. The next stop was to the Charles Playhouse in Boston to see the improv whodunit “Shear Madness.” Then on to Giggles on Route 1 in Saugus for endless pizza, salad and a comedy show. Then the graduates were bused to the Newburyport City Hall Auditorium for a luau DJ dance party. The all-nighter concluded with a hypnotist whose act was even more hilarious for the audience than for the handful of hypnotized classmates performing silly antics up on the stage.

It took a real community effort to make sure that all seniors stayed safe on graduation night and could come together as a class one last time to celebrate this important milestone. The success of Senior Celebration would never have been possible without the significant generosity for countless local businesses and community volunteers.

We would like to thank the following schools who donated this year: Pentucket Middle School PTO, Bagnall School PTA and Page School PTO.

We would like to thank the following businesses for their continued support:
