Obama's words misinterpreted

To the Editor:

In response to the Richard Astukewicz article in the June 17 issue of The Daily News entitled, “We can’t give up fight against terrorism”, when did President Obama make such a statement. Rather, didn’t he say, “Our systematic effort to dismantle terrorist organizations must continue.”

The President was referring to Afghanistan when he said, “...but this war, like all wars must end”, and isn’t that what the majority of American favor? Since we know Al-Qaeda is now operating in many countries around the globe, should we expand the war on terrorism by declaring war on all those countries as well?
