With gratitude for Hall of Honor induction

To the editor:

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Amesbury Educational Foundation and Laurie Knapp for inducting me into their Hall of Honor. The program at Amesbury High School and reception that followed at the Amesbury Sports Park have given me memories that I will never forget. It was a night of sharing friendship, fellowship and love that few people will ever have the opportunity to experience.

I especially want to thank Curtis Wollitz, who so kindly nominated me for the award, along with Deb Smith, Peter Hoyt, Paul Jancewicz and Julia Phelps for their kind words in the video part of the program.

The Amesbury community has been my home and extended family for the last 30 years. I have felt privileged to have worked and lived in an environment that cares so much about the education, safety and development of our children, my own included.

Thanks also go to the mayor and City Council for the citation they presented to me and the Amesbury School Committee for their beautiful gift.
