To the editor:
On behalf of the Newburyport Elks Lodge 909, we would like to thank our fellow members, friends and following businesses: Five Cents Savings Bank, Institution for Savings, The Provident Bank, TD Bank and their employees, Newburyport Moose 1601, Walmart, Sam's Club, Newburyport Shaw's, Seabrook Shaw's, Amesbury Stop & Shop, Paul Barry from Packing Dynamics and Newburyport Market Basket for their support during this year's Thanksgiving Basket drive.
We also would like to give a special thanks to Ron Rogers, Bob Clarke, Jeff Fogel, George Fraley, Joe and Michael Murphy, Mike Dowling, Mike and Anne Marquis, and Mark McKinnery for their vital roles in this year's drive.
Due to everyone's great generosity and support, 118 Thanksgiving baskets were handed out to the following participating schools: Newburyport schools (High, Rupert A. Nock, Molin, Bresnahan and Brown); Amesbury Schools (High, Middle, Elementary, Horace Mann, Cashman and the Academy); Triton Regional; Newbury Round School; Rowley Pine Grove Elementary; Seabrook Elementary; Cornerstone of Ipswich.
