Vote for Bear, a fair-minded Newbury selectman

To the editor:

As a senior citizen residing on Plum Island for over 40 years, we need the continuing and common-sense approach of Selectman Chuck Bear.

On Plum Island, contrary to his opponent, Chuck has supported water and sewage and the right of homeowners to protect their homes.

Of all the parts of Newbury, he understands the importance of Plum Island and its coastal homes providing over 40 percent of the property tax revenue for the Town of Newbury.

Chuck Bear has been a fair-minded selectman seeking not only protection of Plum Island homeowners, but also Byfield and Old Town as well as having been a steadfast champion of senior citizens and we need to continue without stirring up past strife.
