Fireworks in Seabrook too much for this resident

Newburyport Daily News

---- — To the editor:

I just read the letter from the owner of Phantom Fireworks and was amused to read his comment stating, “they have entertained millions of Americans over the years who have used them for their intended purposes.” I agree to a certain degree. I always thought fireworks were for special events.

However, I just moved to Seabrook not quite two years ago and will be putting my home on the market to get out! I border Upper and Lower Collins streets and Upper Washington Street and there are

fireworks every single night beginning in June and ending in November. These are not just fireworks, but explosions.

I know what the laws are in Seabrook, I am only sorry I did not know the area prior to buying and moving there. Anyway, I hope millions of Americans continue to enjoy them. At this stage I worry about what their intended use will be.
