Veterinarian grateful for years of service

To the editor:

It is with mixed emotions that I regret announcing my retirement very soon after 39 years as a veterinarian. It was 29 years ago that I had built the Animal Health Center, where I have served

Salisbury and the neighboring towns. It has been a great privilege to care for you and your pets with the best quality care, as there have been many special relationships made through the years. Thus it has made it very difficult for my wife and I to say goodbye, but we must move on.

My wife and I are selling the practice to an established veterinarian from the area who already has another practice. We plan on making a smooth transition, but of course it requires patience and trust.

All my devoted staff will remain plus Dr. Christine and for that we are grateful because they do a great job and are very dedicated to serving pets. I am thankful that these assistants are staying on at the Animal Health Center to ensure that the transition to a new owner will be as easy as possible for all.

We thank all for the many, many good years during which I have enjoyed taking care of people’s pets. I have valued loyalty and the choice of making me your veterinarian. Though I will really miss practicing medicine, I look forward to spending time with my family and my own dogs in retirement.
