To the editor:

In honor of “Go Red for Women” during the month of February, a tennis social and fundraiser for the American Heart Association was held Feb. 2 at the Racquet Club of Newburyport. Thank you to everyone who supported the mission to raise awareness of heart disease in women. In particular, we would like to thank the Racquet Club of Newburyport, Bert Carey JCA, John Farley Clothiers, Samarra Faux Painting, Maffei Services, Spa Paradiso Salon, Parker River Chiropractic & Wellness, Scott Laffey Construction, Home and Planet Cleaning, Mill River Winery, Elements Therapeutic Massage, David’s Restaurant, Plum Island Coffee Roasters, Sovereign Bank, Got Thyme Personal Chef, Kristen Ledson Designs, Nunan’s Florist and Actor’s Studio. And thanks also to our tennis players, raffle ticket purchasers and many other supporters.
