Thanks for supporting Souper Saturday

To the editor:

Many thanks to all who attended Souper Saturday at the Emma Andrews Library on Jan. 26. Visitors enjoyed clam chowder and carrot dill soup, along with wonderful breads and desserts. Donations received will benefit free programs for children to be held during July and August.

This is the third year that the library and community center has been serving “Hot soup for cool summer programs for the kids!” Last summer’s sessions (three each in July and August) provided excitement and distraction in the form of firetrucks, boat camp and a culminating ice cream social and sing-along. This year will include new programs and perennial favorites.

Join us for lunch from noon to 2:30 on Feb. 23 and March 23. It’s a deliciously good cause!
