Letter: Watch out for Mass Highway 'fix'

To the editor:

I'm going to try to be short and sweet. I'm still shaking my head after reading Friday's front page article ("Confusing intersection targeted for change") about how the "state" is planning on fixing the confusing intersection at Merrimac Street and Moseley Avenue. Let me first say that I do not know of an easy solution, but I do know if the Mass Highway Department "fixes" this problem like they "fixed" Salisbury Square a few years ago, we will all need to increase our car insurance policies. A rotary? What's more confusing to some, than a rotary! Like I said, I don't have an answer, but if they have the same people that designed Salisbury Square do Merrimac Street, "Look out!"

While I'm complaining, I might as well suggest that each city official drive to the bottom of Summer Street and try to turn left. Talk about confusion! But hey, what do I know, I'm just a bonehead that tries to use a little common sense.
