To the editor:
Moseley Woods Park opened for the season on April 26, and we have many people to thank for making that happen.
Coach Ryan McCarthy offered the services of members of the freshman baseball team for our Saturday cleanup. They are: Jared Bradbury, Jack Brophy, Payson Cahill, Cam Caldwell, Sean Clark, Evan "Baby Swing" Engelstein, Brett Fontaine, Ashton Gorman, Alec MacDougall, Adam McElroy, Matt Myers, Tyler Nardone and Dom Scheidegger. We would like to thank Karen Rose, Lenny and Kathy Latawiec, Tom Farrell and Dave Leonard. Thank you, Sheriff Frank Cousins and Frank Garrison, for providing the work crew for a week. Thank you, George at Famous Pizza and to Angelina's, for providing lunch to the crew. Thanks to Rob Germinara of Germinara Oil for providing dump truck services to haul our landscaping materials to the park. Thank you to Frosty and everyone at the DPS barn for their help with the equipment, support and trash removal. Thank you to Vinnie Tirone for getting the Web site fully updated.
Thank you to our fantastic donors/sponsors: Jeff and Dawn Price at The Natural Dog, Richie Eaton at the Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank, Becky Raposo and Chris Zampell at Custodial Partners, Liss Campbell at Yellowdog Design and Attorney Joseph P. Sullivan.
With the park open and running smoothly we would like to remind our visitors that the park is now a pack-it-in, pack-it-out, trash-free facility. Please carry out all trash and waste generated by your activity. The removal of all of our trash barrels will be completed by June 1. We will continue to provide "doggie bags" for the dog walkers who frequent the park. Please be prepared to carry out those bags with you as well. The bags should not be tossed into the woods.
In addition, please remember that all the leash law is in effect throughout the park. Dogs are not allowed in the children's playground area. All of the park rules and regulations are available on our Web site.
Please visit our Web site, www.MoseleyWoods.com, for more information concerning the summer concert series this year.
Finally, the pavilion is available for reservations in three-hour blocks of time for birthday parties and other special events. All information regarding the reservation process, forms and donations is available on our Web site as well.
Once again, thank you to everyone who assisted in getting the park ready and open for the season. All of your efforts are greatly appreciated. We couldn't do it without your help.

Chairman, Board of Commissioners of Moseley Woods and president, Friends of Moseley Woods, Inc.
