---- — To the editor:
A dog’s way of communicating is by barking. He (or she) might bark to answer another dog or to say “hi” or even to say to someone who teases him, “Why are you doing that?” Some people are mean enough as to tease a dog just to get them to bark. And some dogs are blamed for other dogs that are barking. In still other cases, a dog that doesn’t bark that much is complained about by those same mean people who tease him as barking incessantly.
I was raised in Newbury, and I used to think people there loved animals, which is obviously not true in the case of a few very mean-spirited people. If all they have to do is find fault and make up lies, then they need to get a life!
