Port vigil opposed military strike in Syria

To the editor:

With reference to the Jack Baumman letter of 9/10/13 that appeared in The Daily News of that date, Mr. Baumman needs to pay closer attention to what’s going on. Last night (9/9/13) there were 60 to 70 people gathered in Market Square, Newburyport, to take part in a protest vigil opposing any military strike against Syria. No one was asked about their political affiliations and Mr. Baumman might be surprised by the variety of viewpoints represented.
