A big thank-you to Michael's Harborside

To the editor:

The veterans of the City of Newburyport along with their families and friends would like to extend a heart-felt thank-you to Michael’s Harborside for their generous and delicious offering of a free meal on Veterans Day.

New England Development Corporation, Matt Kirk and all the workers at Michael’s who made this happen are owed a sincere thank-you for their tireless efforts and constant smiles. Even the last to be served that day felt the same freshness and enthusiasm experienced by the first to be served.

Over 900 great-tasting meals were served at no charge, and that included dessert! A special thank-you to the students who provided “thank-you” letters for the veterans.
