Roundabout is only causing problems

To the editor:

Just wait until we have a foot of snow or more next winter and consider how they are going to plow that absurd roundabout. They may have to do it with a cadre of folks with snow shovels. I suppose the island will sprout a forest of uprights so that folks can find the island. Next most annoying is the bump out by the park that makes folks wanting to go straight wait for everyone wanting to turn, but it will force folks who want to go to the park to go all around the block! Every time the bridge closes in the summer, there will be a huge traffic jam and scads of folks with incipient road rage. Short sighted —long suffering. It will take years, if not decades, to correct the problems. I expect what with the rebuilding of the Whittier Bridge and the ridiculous roundabout that getting to Newburyport will be so difficult that I’ll have to start doing my grocery shopping in Seabrook!
