Quick response from Cronin restores crosswalk

To the editor:

Reading the article about the candidates in Ward 3 prompted me to write a letter many months overdue.

I called Councilor Robert Cronin about a crosswalk at State and Greenleaf streets. The intersection had been paved and a crosswalk was removed. This crosswalk was the one where children crossed State Street to the bus stop.

Mr. Cronin came out, met with us and within a short time the crosswalk was back. I just wanted to thank him for his quick action and the Department of Public Services for doing great job.
