NRA plan is, indeed, incredible

To the editor:

I read every word on both sides of the large colorful flier sent to my house by the NRA last week, looking for something I could agree with, and I found it! The word “incredible,”I which was used in this sentence: “It is an incredible opportunity to save and improve an open and vibrant waterfront now and for generations to come.”

I agree that incredible was the perfect word for the NRA to use in their flier. It’s a word that I think is overused these days, so I checked the definition: “incredible — so implausible as to elicit disbelief.”

That is it exactly! Every part of the NRA’s plan, to me, is implausible. For the life of me I can’t believe they are still clinging to it. Most people have shown that they don’t want what the NRA is selling, and almost every politician running for office is backing away from the NRA as fast as they can spin their campaign statements.

Incredible is the perfect word to describe the NRA’s plan to sell and build on our public open waterfront.
