Bartlett Museum grateful for volunteers

Newburyport Daily News

---- — To the editor:

The Board of Directors of the Bartlett Museum on Main Street, Amesbury, appreciates the many volunteers who use their skills and time for the good of the museum. These people are important because they care about the museum and take no pay for what they do.

Another year has gone by and the museum has continued to hang on. Board president Tony Knapp has given tours every weekend this past summer, adding up to almost 100. Bonnie David has been an enthusiastic board member since her first meeting last year by promoting all over town and coordinating our Flatbread fundraiser as well as helping at the Annual Dinner Meeting. Thanks and sorry to have you leave us. Steve Klomps continues being the treasurer. New board member Alexander Poole has jumped in with great ideas and Selwin Mizes promotes us everywhere he goes.

Thanks also to Carol Finn who is the membership secretary and Gina Moscardini who works on the newsletter. The museum is open and running because of the many volunteers like these now and since the beginning in 1968. The museum plans to be open again next Memorial Day through to Labor Day.
