When I think of the tragedy of Sandy Hook School in Connecticut, I am just heart-sick. There is never a good time for this type of thing to happen, but there could hardly be a worse time. The solution to the shootings isn’t gun control — might as well put up signs saying “defenseless targets here,” as the places with the most strict gun control also have the most gun-related crimes.
I have some friends who are pacifists or conscientious objectors — now I really am not a war monger and I do like peace, but I would rather be armed than defenseless.
The solution to gun crimes and all other crimes is for this nation and world to get back to God; to reverence Him and have respect for all the lives that He made. People who purposely hurt or kill other people (or animals ) are really sick; they dislike or hate themselves and everyone else too. They either have no concept of a loving God (Who, by the way, hurts and really feels our pain) or they have a very warped idea of Him.
