John Connors of West Newbury is pleased to announce the marriage of his daughter Nora Connors to Benjamin McCormack on Sept. 6, 2008, on Cousins Island in Yarmouth, Maine.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Pentucket Regional High School and a 2006 graduate of University of New England, where she received her degree in Sport Management. She currently works as the Assistant Station Manager at a Resorts Sport Network television station at Sunday River Ski Resort in Newry, Maine.
The groom is the son of Charlie McCormack, of Beaufort, S.C., and Ms. June McCormack, of Indianapolis. He is a 1999 graduate of the Tufts University School of Engineering in Medford, Mass. and a current student at the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College in Wellesley Hills, Mass. He currently works as Chief Operating Officer for AnglerWeb.com.
Ben and Nora were married at the Cousins Island Chapel, with a waterfront reception following. The bride's Matron of Honor was her sister-in-law, Kristin O'Connor of Andover, Maine. Her attendants also included Amy Cieslik of Waltham, Mass., Maria Kenney of Kennebunkport, Maine, and Sarah Chiarello of Ft. Collins, Colo. The groom's best man was his college roommate, Scott Richter of Denver. His attendants also included Luis Giraldo of San Francisco, Joao Granja of Washington, D.C., and Tim O'Connor of Andover, Maine, brother of the bride.
The couple honeymooned in Fiji immediately after the wedding. Ben and Nora now reside in Yarmouth, Maine with their two boxers.
