Erin K. Pfeiffer
and Duncan G. Upton III
Jeffrey and Nancy Pfeiffer of Newburyport are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Erin K. Pfeiffer to Duncan G. Upton III, son of Steve and Patty Upton of South Deerfield, Mass.
Erin is a graduate of Newburyport High School. She also graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She works at BAE Systems in Hudson, N.H. as a Sr. Subcontrat Administrator.
Duncan is a graduate of Northfield Mount Hermon High School. He received a BS in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and an MBA from Northeastern University. He works at IBM in Lexington as an Advisory Software Engineer.
Duncan and Erin were former neighbors and met in 1997 at UMass. She asked him to go for a walk and grab an ice cream their first week of school. Over 100 toppings, they fell in love. Duncan surprised Erin with a proposal in Central Park in November 2007 and they are excited for all the adventures to come.
An Aug. 28, 2009 wedding is planned.
