This past week Stan and Georgette were pleasantly surprised as family and friends gathered at Newburyport Assembly of God Church to honor them on their 45th wedding anniversary.
Stan graduated from Haverhill Trade School in 1961 and Georgette (Emond) from Amesbury High School in 1960.
They were married just two days after President JFK was shot, at a time when the country was grieving.
They have two daughters, Pamela Fournier (wife of Glenn) of Seabrook and Suzanne Fushpanski of Goffstown, and three precious grandchildren, Benjamin, 16, Nikki, 14 and Larry, 12 (Fournier)
Stan is a semi-retired mechanic. He is known by many in the Salisbury area and worked with his dad, Stanley F. Fushpanski for many years before becoming self-employed for the last 35 years.
Georgette retired from Henschel 's after 23 years.
Both have been very involved in foster care, taking in several people into their home over the years. They have been members of the Newburyport Assembly of God Church for 31 years where Stanley serves on the board and is the head usher.
