Summer Reading Book Drive starts Monday

Published: May 8, 2008

BYFIELD — A flyer that's circulating in the Triton Regional School District has some questions for its readers.

"Not sure what to do with that old Grisham novel? Have summer reads that are collecting dust?" the flyer asks.

Triton Regional High School Library Media Specialist Andrea Sargent has an answer to those questions.

She is urging people to donate those books to the high school English Department's first ever Summer Reading Book Drive next week.

Donation boxes will be set up in the high school English office, the library media center and in the main office from May 12 to May 19.

Donations will help the school provide books for students to borrow for the summer reading requirement, and allow people to clean out their bookcases to make room for more.
