SEABROOK — A woman arrested in Seabrook for stealing a car in Maine was given a suspended sentenced to six months in the House of Correction.
Rosanna M. Brown, 25, of 90 Cenetary Road, Monmouth, Maine, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property, a car reported stolen from James Dennis of Waterville, Maine. Her suspended sentence was a plea agreement, conditioned upon good behavior for one year.
Should Brown again get in trouble with the law, she could be required to serve out her term in jail.
Brown was arrested in Seabrook after Seabrook Officer Frank Brown Jr. — no relation — saw her and companions acting suspiciously the night of Thursday, April 10. After learning the 1999 Pontiac Rosanna Brown was driving had been reported stolen, Frank Brown was able to arrest her after stopping the car at the 99 Restaurant in Seabrook.
However her companions escaped on foot, stole another truck in Hampton Falls and made it back to Scarborough, Maine, where they were finally arrested after a 25-minute police chase, police said.
Being held in Maine are Raymond Hamilton, 19, and his twin brother Patrick, 19, both of 25 Punghill Road, Fairfield, Maine; and Nathaniel Hussey, 26, of 16 Jefferson St., Apt. 5, Augusta, Maine.
Seabrook has warrants for the arrests of the three held in Maine also, according to Seabrook Officer James Cawley Jr.
According to Detective Sgt. Ron Avery of the Kittery, Maine, police the four fit a description of individuals reported to have attempted to rob the Blue Roof Motel on Route 1 Bypass in Kittery, after allegedly stealing the car in Waterville.
