Students in the first grade completed a Fairy Tale unit this past week. To celebrate, students and teachers invited parents and guardians to attend their much anticipated Fairy Tale Ball. Dressed in their princess dresses and suits with ties, children led their guests to each first-grade classroom to take part in four events. Morning events included tea and cookies in Aimee Farrell's classroom, a game of Cinderella Jeopardy in Claudette Wile's room, ballroom dancing in Laura Savey's room, and the children worked together to make a Fairy Tale Art project, a shield of armor, in Florence Mugillo's room. Participants rotated between all the rooms so that everyone had a chance to take part in each of the events.
